Richard Pryor

As you all probably know, Richard Pryor died today at the age of 65. I remember growing up watching many great movies and SNL skits that would not have been possible without Mr. Pryor. He was one of the greatest commedians to ever entertain us, and even though he's been retired due to health for quite some time, will be sorely missed. There will never be another Richard Pryor.

My prayers are with his family, and to him my gratitude for bringing me laughter so many times.

wow i guess i'm outta the loop. this is the first of heard of it.

sux, but his health has been bad for a long time now.

what an influence in so many ways. he was the first truly foul mouthed comedian i ever heard... and i say heard because i remember listening to records long before seeing him on tv or in movies. i remember friends sneaking the records from their parents and we'd laugh at such an awesome display of vulgar language. he didn't hold back for nothing. even as he tamed down in his later years i still remember Eddie Murphy (in Raw) talking about a convo he had with Bill Cosby... and then calling Richard for advice... classic... lol

He was one of the greats in my mind. I hated it back when he retired due to MS. I thought there would be many, many more years of funny things to come.
